Natural Beauty Routine for Winter

The Social Style

"Since I have mad forehead wrinkles..."

It's natural to want to look cute everywhere you go during the holidays, but the crazy nature of the season can really limit your time. It's hard to look on-point at all times, so here are a few tricks I've picked up to stay looking fresh. First, I wash my hair and face everyday like it's my freaking religion. Even if I'm feeling super lazy, I do it. Use a natural exfoliating face scrub that's not too harsh on the skin followed up with a light moisturizer & eye cream. Since I have mad forehead wrinkles I make sure to show that area some love and apply the eye cream on them too. Might sound weird, but I have faith it works!

I'm so much more pale in the winter, so the blemishes are a little more obvious. Enter a little bit of concealer and my favorite Clinique Even Better Glow foundation. It's so lite and has yet to make my face feel greasy in the 6 months that I've used it (and I have the small bottle)! With a thin layer of Younique powder and a swipe of blush, all that's left is the mascara, simple wing, brows, and lip plumper.

Let That Hair Down

My goal was to take it easy on my hair this winter, but that just ain't happenin'  so far. I've actually tried a few different styles like a Bridget Bardot inspired up do, a sleek side part, and the classic brushed-out beach waves. If you're like me and you just have to style your hair, do some back end work to keep hair looking healthy and naturally-beautiful. I know it's tempting, but try not to use burning hot water when you shower. Your skin will also thank you for this! Invest in a quality heat protectant and spray before applying heat to the hair. The goal is to see some steam come off of the hair when you curl/straighten. This shows that the heat is getting to the product instead of your actual hair. Finally, get yourself some scrunchies! One because, how fun and two, the silky or cotton scrunchie options are a great alternative to those harsh elastic hair ties.

And just like that, you've got an easy go-to beauty routine for winter time that will keep things looking natural and fresh! When it comes down to it, you don't need a thing when it comes to makeup. This routine is mostly for you to keep things healthy during such harsh weather changes. You do your thang this winter and have a happy happy holidays!
